By accessing and using FixMyResume ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

FixMyResume provides AI-powered resume and cover letter optimization tools. We use third-party Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyze your uploaded resume and a target job description to generate a tailored document designed to highlight your relevant experience.

3. Credits and Payments

• Credit System: Generating tailored documents requires "credits". One credit is consumed per successful generation of a resume or cover letter.
• Purchasing: Credits are purchased via our secure payment provider (Stripe). All payments are one-time purchases; we do not offer recurring subscriptions unless explicitly stated.
• No Expiration: Purchased credits do not expire and will remain on your account indefinitely.
• Refunds: Due to the non-returnable nature of compute costs incurred by AI generation, credits are non-refundable once used. If you experience a severe technical failure resulting in a lost credit without receiving your generated document, please contact support for a manual credit refund.

4. User Responsibilities

• Accuracy of Information: You are solely responsible for ensuring that the facts, job titles, and experiences in your original resume are accurate. Our AI is instructed not to hallucinate, but you must manually review all generated output before submitting it to employers.
• Lawful Use: You agree not to upload any confidential, proprietary, or classified information belonging to third parties without authorization.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive to optimize your resume for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and human recruiters, we do not guarantee that using our service will result in an interview, a job offer, or bypass every ATS successfully. The AI-generated content is intended as a helpful drafting tool, not a guaranteed employment service.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FixMyResume and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of employment opportunities or data, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
